Pair of Caryatids in Dark Patina 1600, an ancient pair of hand-carved caryatids, female figures in walnut wood. These decorative elements from the Baroque era come from a private Milanese collection and are in good condition, ready to hang.

The caryatid is a female figure inserted in architecture as a support element, with a decorative function of architraves, balustrades, balconies, shelves. The caryatid was also widely used in the decoration of furniture, sometimes completely detached from its support functions, only for the purpose of an ornamental motif.
