Vintage French Free-Form 75 Desk, 1950

About This Piece

Vintage Design

Free-form oak "75" desk, France 1950. Equipped with a pedestal with three drawers on the right side, this desk rests on a boomerang-shaped solid oak base. Two cylinders allow the curved top to be detached, freeing up space above the box. An assembly plan in French in pencil and a stamp are visible under the tray. Called "bureau 75" by its designer (unidentified), this copy would be number 11 (marks at the bottom of the drawer). This work from the French 1950s is a success in terms of drawing and a rarity.
