An exceptional Victorian Silver & Glass Match Striker by J W Deakin & Sons, an impressive antique Victorian English glass and sterling silver match striker.

The surface of the glass body has a serrated texture used for match striking, the match striker collar retains the original plain hallmarked silver mount, this solid silver indicates the high quality of the piece, the glass body is in perfect condition. The Full hallmarks date this piece to 1890 and the makers John & William Deakin (James Deakin & Sons) Birmingham, England.
