Stool Eclipse 4 by Antoine Maurice Dimensions: W 40 x D 30 x H 50 cm Materials: Solid oak beams, assembled, carved and burned Ethnic-inspired, the Eclipse range of furniture gives pride of place to primitive lines… as well as recycled materials. In oak, the Eclipse bench was made from used beams that the cabinetmaker gathered and sculpted. Born in 1992, Antoine Maurice lives and works in Yvelines. He trained in drawing at an art school and then in woodworking at the furniture school in Paris, La Bonne Graine. He founded his workshop in 2017 to perfect his approach to creation on his own. He works and develops his own approach to design. Halfway between the functional object and the sculpture, he uses old beams from a ruined house or wood doomed to be thrown away to make his creations. It aims to show a new path for contemporary, minimalist and more nature-friendly creation.
