Rolled works can be easily stretched (for canvas works, i.e. placed onto wooden stretcher bars) and/or framed by a local framer upon arrival. Paul Richard Landauer is an Austrian abstract artist. His paintings are the result of pictorial gestures that create marks, touches, and graphic traces on the canvas. His artistic practice ponders the rhythm and uniqueness of forms. Landauer uses a highly personal style of painting, often characterized by the methodical and orderly juxtaposition of intense touches. His paintings are created through simple acts, such as repeatedly applying brushstrokes of colour to the canvas. Each touch is intentionally counted, measured, reported, creating deeply harmonious and musical compositions. The art practice of Landauer fits into the tradition of Informal Art and Abstract Expressionism deepening its more intimate and pure aspects. The inspiration for his paintings comes from his existence and his own body, acts, and movements.
