Naval Officer's Travel Trunk in Teak, Late 19th Century

Vintage Design

Large trunk of naval officer in reinforced teak on the front, sides, back and top by elements of wood held by solid brass strips. Each of the angles is reinforced by brass brackets. The original two -point locks are in operating condition and accompanied by hind keys. On the top is mentioned: "Doctor Donnart - Marine doctor, Brest".
This is the indisputable proof that this trunk has traveled as evidenced by the biography of this officer knight of the Legion of Honor.
