Vintage Design

A mid-20th century Chinese woven reed gathering basket with a bentwood handle attached with simple iron straps.
Traditionally these baskets were used to transport food products to and from the fields and possibly also to transport clothes on laundry day.
This beautiful Chinese farmers basket is over 70 years old and attributed to the Ningbo Zhejiang province. Perfect for a bohemian, country or rustic home touch.
Condition : good for its age, some loose bindings on the top edge, not broken, please see the photos
