About This Piece

Vintage Design

Nice little solid mahogany desk with mitered framed top. The workspace is trimmed with green leather in three pieces, with the junctions cleverly concealed by cold-rolled friezes. Vignettes around the edge and gold motifs on the corners also embellish this trim. The top also has a small groove on its edges.
This piece of furniture offers, at each end, a retractable drawer covered with a leather that perfectly matches the top of the desk.
In the belt, there are two drawers with Louis XVI style entrances with pearl decorations, accompanied by their keys. The locks are in working order. The fronts of the drawers are designed to be recessed and underlined by brass quarter-round rods. The interiors of the drawers are also in solid mahogany.
This elegant piece of furniture rests on four turned and sheathed legs, embellished with fluting and finished with brass shoes.
Thanks to its modest size, this desk can be installed in a room dedicated to it, as well as in a bedroom or a living room.
