Large Nudo rug by Sebastian Herkner Materials: 100% natural virgin wool. Technique: hand-woven in Colombia. Dimensions: W 180 x L 220 cm Available in colors: white/ beige/ rose, grey/ green/ black, blue/ orange/ ochre, brown/ black/ grey, white/ beige/ caramel. The Nudo Rug, a design by Sebastian Herkner, is a deep-pile wool rug in the shape of a traditional mask. Its color-blocking design is a nod to a 1970s aesthetic. Each of the color fields has a different pile height, creating a fascinating combination of textures. As the rug is made with the finest virgin wool, it feels beautifully soft to touch. The design is available in two sizes. Each rug is made from wool and manufactured in small workshops in the Colombian city of Cajicá, where the local craftsmen and craftswoman still know the traditional weaving and knotting techniques. Made entirely by hand, it takes four days to prepare and dye the wool, while the making of the actual rug takes eight days - each individual warp and weft is being manual. German designer Sebastian Herkner is a long-term collaborator of Ames and has visited Colombia multiple times to experience the country’s cities, nature and people first hand. He also visited many of the ateliers that Ames has partnered with to learn about the unique traditional crafts of Colombia's regions. A sought-after contemporary designer and recipient of many industry awards, he has worked with many international design brands, creating intriguing pieces that showcase his intuition for interesting material, color, and texture combinations.

Delivery Details

Delivery will be completed by a parcel service such as UPS, DHL, or FedEx.

A wooden crate may be used for intercontinental shipments for maximum protection.
Item will be left in its packaging after delivery.
A signature will be required upon delivery.
