Beautiful Japanese wooden hibachi with original copper lining from the Meiji period, circa 1868-1912.

Dimensions: height 26 cm, diameter 68 cm.

This antique Japanese 'firepot' is richly decorated with wave patterns and bird motifs.

Two handles are carved from the wood on the sides. The hibachi also displays several beautiful old repairs, as seen in the photos.

These unique details, the craftsmanship of the woodwork, and the history that the object embodies make this hibachi a timeless and elegant interior accent. It is highly decorative on its own and even more beautiful as a plant holder.
