About This Piece

Vintage Design

This is a pair of lovely round side tables all in beech wood polished with black shellac. The top is composed of a frame, in which an engraved glass is inserted. The band of the table is, in addition to being polished with black shellac, edged with a thin brass sheet; this is then nailed with small brass nails. The glass depicts a nude female figure singing and dancing before a figure of a youth seated on a bench, seemingly lost in his melody. There are four very tapered and elegant legs.
