About This Piece

Subjects in regula with brown patina, titled "Fisherman" and "Fisherwoman", by the French sculptor Georges Maxim (1885-1940) known as Geo. Maxim.
The first subject represents a fisherman, equipped with a fishing rod, his pants and sleeves rolled up, holding the fish firmly in his hand.
The second subject represents a fisherwoman dressed in a beautiful long dress, holding a landing net and carrying a large tray filled with the few trophies that the sea was willing to give to this happy couple.
Each of these sculptures rests on a circular wooden base with a groove.
This pair of subjects in regula will please the lovers of fishing and the amateurs of finely realized works.
