French-Style Commode from the 18th/19th Century with Granite Top This piece is a French-style bombe-shaped commode. The body of the furniture features two drawers, topped with a wavy-shaped granite top. The front and sides are inlaid with brass handles and adorned with brass fittings on the feet and corners. The chest has been restored, finished with French polish, and the granite top is new.
