Nymph is an original lithograph on ivory-colored paper realized by Félicien Rops. In very good conditions. Specimen 1/2 handwritten note in pencil at the bottom. Image Dimensions: 31.5 x 24.5 cm. The artwork represents the mythical creature Nymph, well-known for being with the body of a woman. Félicien Victor Joseph Rops( 1833-1898) was a Belgian artist associated with Symbolism and the Parisian Fin-de Siecle. He was a painter, illustrator, caricaturist, also a prolific and innovative printmaker, particularly in intaglio.Eroticism mixed with mortality and evil themes is one of the most prominent aspects of her work. He is best known for his graphic works, many of which are horror or erotic. Rupes was educated in Brussels. His first drawings were published in the humorous newspaper Crocodile (1855) and Euilenspiegel. He also created watercolors. The praise given to him by writers such as Charles Baudelaire and Yoris Karl Hussman's placed him at the forefront of the decadent school of the late 19th century. He has lived in France since 1878.

About the Creator

Front

Swedish-born Sofia Lagerkvist, Charlotte von der Lancken, and Anna Lindgren comprise the design studio Front. They started collaborating in 2004 while they were still students at Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts, and Design in Stockholm. Originally they started out as four, but Katja Sävström left the group in 2009.

Front's design objects often communicate a story about the process of creation, about the nature of the material, or about the expectations of the observer/user. With every new project, they challenge the role of the designers and the conventions of today’s design industry, integrating surprising elements such as magic tricks or living animals.

Front has developed projects for brands like Stelton, Gemla, Porro, Moroso, Booo, Established & Sons, and Moooi, as well as limited editions for galleries such as Galerie Kreo in Paris.
