About This Piece

Oil painting on canvas signed by the painter noirmoutrin Florent Sichet (1918-2014).
This artist is known for his work representing nature and the daily life of the Vendée island where he is from.
This work entitled "Maison Fleurie à la Blanche" depicts a traditional house with blue shutters located in the village of Le Grand Vieil north of Noirmoutier. This small house, the sun comes to illuminate its facade, has many flowers.
This canvas is nicely underlined by a frame of brown and gold colors.
Sichet pays homage to these small houses, which line the many alleys of the island, where time seems to have stood still.
