A golden, a silver! This pair of incredible magnetic lamps, with daring and modern design, is a production of Goffredo Reggiani for Reggiani. Production of the 60s, they consist of an openwork sphere in silver or gold metal to be placed on a magnetic support. The light sphere is adjustable, mobile. This pair of lamps therefore lends itself to many light, utility and decorative combinations, table or bedside lamp. The whole is carried by a demanding manufacturing, a neat design and inspired Space Age.

These Boule or Eye Ball office lamps are a vintage Italian manufacture, edited by Reggiani. They are magnetic on their base and therefore adjustable in all directions. Traces are visible on the surface of gilding and money. They are stamped Reggiani on the back, a manufacturer's label is still present.

10-14cm in lampshade diameter and 16.5cm high.

About the Creator

Goffredo Reggiani

Not a lot of biographical information is available on the Italian lighting designer and entrepreneur Goffredo Reggiani, however it can be surmised that he was particularly active in the lighting sector during the 1950s throughout the 1970s.

Reggiani founded his eponymous lighting factory in Brianza, Italy, a region known for its tradition in industry. In his designs, Reggiani utilized mainly chrome, as well as opaline glass and teak, to create Space Age designs, such as sputnik style chandeliers, globe-shaped table lamps, and floor lamps with trumpet-like diffusers. During the 1970s, Reggiani developed the first range of low voltage halogen lamps in Europe.

Today, the company is still in operation, creating interior and exterior lighting for both the private and public sectors.
