About This Piece

Regula sculpture with brown/gold patina entitled 'L'OLIVIER LE RAMEAU DU TRAVAIL' and signed E. PICAULT, depicting a worker holding an olive branch. It stands on a green-veined black marble base. Emile-Louis PICAULT was a French sculptor born in Paris in 1833 and died in 1915. His abundant body of work mainly features allegorical or patriotic subjects. Period: second half of the 19th century.
