MATERIALS Moser Glassware is famous for producing lead-free crystal, something that sets it apart from many other crystal manufacturers. Since the founding of their furnace in 1893, Moser has chosen to use a lead-free glass composition. This type of crystal, also called potassium crystal, is made with components such as high-quality sand, soda, potassium and limestone, but without adding lead oxide. The absence of lead gives Moser crystal greater hardness than lead crystal, which makes processing more difficult but at the same time allows very precise and detailed engravings.
