We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning pair of circa 1880-1900 Chinese Export Bergère side chairs with hand painted and lacquered finish A very good looking and decorative pair of chairs, they are a good light colour, quite often these pieces were ebonised and black furniture can be tricky to place well in a home. The finish is original, distressed on places, nothing you wouldn’t expect due to the age, they look full of charm and character in any setting Condition wise, they have been lightly cleaned waxed and polishing, they are 100% solid and stable Dimensions Height:- 95cm Width:- 40.5cm Depth:- 43.5cm Seat height:- 45cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade
