This 60's carved mahogany wooden chest is a traditional work of art that reflects the skill and artistic aesthetics of the master craftsmen of that era.

The main feature of these bauli was the intricate and detailed carving on the surface. The craftsmen skillfully used tools to sculpt ornamental motifs, flowers, birds, mythical animals and other symbolic forms of Chinese culture. The carvings were made with great precision and talent, and they were often a combination of floral and geometric motifs.

In addition to its artistic beauty, the trunk also had a practical function, it was used to store precious objects, clothes or valuable objects, they were often considered symbols of wealth, prosperity and good luck in Chinese culture.

The 60s in China were a period of historical changes and turmoil, and art objects such as carved wooden trunks reflected the continuity of the country's artistic and cultural traditions. Today, these trunks can be considered precious and collectible works of art, testimony to a past era and traditional craft skills of China.
