It is made of stoneware pottery ceramic and has a very unique blue tone coloration and surface structure. The bottom is marked with typical Liebenthron Producer signature GL and year signature 66. A very collectible and very rare item of the Liebenthron Collection. Straightforward and minimalistic design of the 1970s design era. This item is a wonderful addition to every modern home. Dimensions: Height 4,5cm Diameter 16cm. Condition: This item is in a very good vintage condition with patina. VITA Liebenthron: From 1945-1951 Liebenthron studied at the Staatliche Kunstschule Bremen (school of arts) in the pottery class of Else Krieg & Dorothea Colberg-Tjadens. in 1951 Liebenthron has been the Assistant of the sculptor Prof. Goersemann there. After Liebenthron finished his time at the Kunstschule he opened his own workshop in the Boettcherstraße, Bremen (in 1952). Gerhard Liebenthron's work can be found in several museums in Germany. The Keramik Museum in Berlin, the Fockemuseum in Bremen and the Hetiens Museum in Düsseldorf for example. He has been a member of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Kunsthandwerk Bremen.
