We can also spot a flower pot resting by the balcony ledge. The balcony overlooks rows of white buildings of differing heights, that stretch out into the distance. The artist has purposely simplified the architectural details of the buildings into blocks of contrasting shades of white The colour palette of the painting is limited to naturalistic and earthy shades of browns and white. These gentle colours create a subdued atmosphere, evoking a sense of tranquillity.
