Éric de Dormael, artist and sculptor, invites sharing, confidence and delicacy through a magical light, a chiaroscuro typical of candles. This jewel of light placed on a coffee table, bookcase or arbour opens up to the joy of meeting and lends the moment a sacred character. The French sculptor and artist Éric de Dormael designs and produces unique works of architectural form, in bronze, papier mâché, resin or stainless steel wire. Recognized internationally, Éric de Dormael exhibits at PAD Paris, the Museum of Decorative Arts in Berlin, the Negropontes Gallery, New York, California and many other places on the planet. This sculpture lights , characterised by their fluidity, their ethereality, their form and their transparency, are all about the subtle interplay of light and shadow. The reflections, shimmers, patterns and vibrations they create dance off the walls. Éric de Dormael’s creations bring forth images, they leave impressions and they provoke sensations.
