Vintage Design

This iconic Bauhaus cantilever chair is made from chrome-plated tubular steel with black leather seats, backrests and armrests that are in near pristine condition. The chairs of this style were designed by Mart Stam in 1927 and were the first cantilever chairs in furniture history. Starting in 1925, Stam experimented with gas pipes connected with flanges and developed the concept of cantilevered chairs that no longer stood on four legs - a design principle that marked a turning point in the history of modern furniture design.

The tubular frame made of black steel is shaped into an innovative cantilever shape. The cantilever chair acts like a spring, offering flexibility and comfort thanks to the quilted leather seats and backrests.
