Vintage Design

This D35 Kinetic leather chair comes in excellent condition. It is made of black plastic mesh with black leather. The leather is soft and in first-class condition, the braid has been pulled and knotted once on the underside of the seat. The chrome of the frame is as good as new.

The Hungarian Anton Lorenz is one of the key figures of Bauhaus design and tubular steel furniture. He took up Mart Stam's idea of the cantilever chair and, at the end of the 1920s, used this as a basis to develop various tubular steel icons, including this D35. The German manufacturer Tecta, which is dedicated to Bauhaus design, took the idea of the D35 and developed it further into the current Kinetic version, in which the seat can be moved backwards using body pressure.
