Vintage Design

A large and very good quality Regency style fire grate from the later part of the 19th century. The steel bowed bars with short cast iron fireback making a large burning area. The cut and pierced fret of foliage and serpents with broken scrolled front legs and tall engraved steeple finials. Most likely by renowned Scottish foundry Carron. Circa 1870-80
